November roses
Hanging on in there…
Maybe it’s the mild weather, maybe they’ve enjoyed the damp but my Lady of Shalott rose from David Austin is blooming its little socks off right now. Not just one or two flowers mind but a whole host of them, like plump, buttery tangerines (if you can imagine such a thing). Yes there is black spot on the leaves but what’s a little black spot between friends? Really you should send it off to the council green waste gulag or at the very least bury it. But who has time for that? Which is probably why all my roses have it by a certain point in the year. So long as the flowers are looking good, who cares?
